Alcmene

From Legendary Journeys

Alcmene is the mortal mother of demi god Hercules fathered by Zeus. She also has an older son by the name of Iphicles with her husband Amphitryon. The King of the Gods,  Zeus,  came to Alcmene in the form of her husband Amphitryon and made love to her. This one night stand resulted in Alcmene becoming impregnated by the king of the Olympian gods. Unbeknownst to Alcmene her husband Amphitryon had died the night Zeus and Alcmene conceived Hercules. Most of the villagers believed her to be a harlot having become pregnant while her husband was off and killed in war. She was unaware it was truly Zeus who had impregnated her until after Hercules was born.

When Hercules turned 18 years-old, Alcmene sent him off to the Cheiron's Academy to learn hot to defend himself. It was at the academy that Hercules was able to learn the fighting skills which made him into the Legendary Hero he became. It was there Hercules met up with long times friends Iolaus and Prince Jason. The latter of which would go on many years later to Marry Alcmene. The Duo remained a happy couple until her peaceful death (HTLJ "Twilight").

After Death

Even after Death Alcmene still appeared. Hera took her from the Elysian Fields and trapped her in fire. She'd remain there for eternity unless Zeus gave up his god hood to free her.
