Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of Love.
Aphrodite sees herself as the personification of love. If pressed into a philosophical argument about some apparently egoistical plan, she would react with hurt astonishment. She is only out to promote love.
She revels in the regalia and demeanor of extreme, if conventional, femininity. Her vocabulary is extremely whimsical, but as a master of body language, she usually has no trouble getting her message through.
Her husband is Hephaestus, at least nominally, but marital bliss is not a priority to her. But of course she loves him. Her son, Cupid, is specializing in romantic love, and she usually can’t refuse meddling in his careful matchings. Other Olympians seldom come to her for advice, unless it is about love. She has no real enemies among the gods, apart from a budding rivalry with Discord, who shares some of her mentality but not her portfolio.
As far as mortals go, her growing friendship with is gradually changing her alignment into chaotic good. Gentle, caring love, previously seen as something on the bottom of the ladder of amorous Darwinism, as far as Aphrodite is concerned, clearly has an untapped potential. She also has a good relationship with Herucles, whom she considers her big brother.
And for all her pettiness and egotism, Aphrodite will never under any circumstances try to kill anyone or use directly harming attacks.
Aside from cupid, Aphrodite has two demigods son Deonand Eryx the Boxer.
Once, Aphrodite got fed up with "the love gig", so she tried out other roles, like music, hunting and wisdom but none worked out. She even tried to imitate Hercules but learned that she's best at love.

Aphrodite possesses most of the abilities of a god such as immortality and the ability to teleport from Earth to Mount Olympus at will. She has also shown to possess some strength, enough to physically fight with the goddess Discord, as well as the ability to fly and change her appearance. However as the goddess of Love she rarely displays these powers. As the master of love, lust and desire she has the trademark power to arouse physical and emotional love, desire and lust in mortals and gods alike. The only gods who have an immunity to her powers are Athena, Artemis and Hestia. She also can read a person's karma.
