Prometheus was the Titan who gave mortals the gift of fire and the ability to heal. Hera once stole the Eternal Torch from Prometheus, thus stealing fire from all mortals. During this time, Prometheus was nearly frozen and incapacitated in his house until Hercules found and restored the torch to its rightful place (Hercules and the Circle of Fire).
Hera once captured Prometheus and chained him to the side of a mountain. While he was bound, humanity lost the gift of fire and the ability to heal. He was freed by Hercules and Xena (XWP " Prometheus").
