While defending a temple of the Fates, Xena kills an attacker – who turns out to be quite young. As she regrets her actions, the Fates appear and offer her a reward for defending their temple. What Xena ends up getting is a world where she never became a warrior – a world that will be undone if she sheds any blood. Things are vastly different in this new reality, such as her dead brother – Lyceus – being alive, her being engaged to marry, and Gabrielle being a slave. Even worse, two old enemies are preparing an attack on Amphipolis.
