Sam Raimi

Samuel Marshall Raimi was born October 23, 1959 in Royal Oak, Michigan USA.

Along with Robert Tapert and Bruce Campbell, Raimi was one of the three founders of Renaissance Pictures. Raimi is famous for being the inventive director of the Evil Dead trilogy and more recently of Sony's Spider-Man films.

Raimi served as executive producer for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules and Xena - The Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus, Young Hercules, Jack of All Trades and Cleopatra 2525.

Currently, Raimi serves as executive producer of the TV series, Legend of the Seeker. He is also at work preparing Spider-Man 4. He has also (and for a number of years at that) expressed occassional interest in doing a fourth Evil Dead movie.
